This December the Journey Through South Africa Tour will be going through Cape Town, Durban and Joburg distributing new and used skate stuff to kids who can’t afford their own. The tour features German skateboarders Louis Taubert and Niklas Speer von Cappein as well as local ripper Justus Kotze.

And he has carved out on the thick banger bus tour and was generally represented with the best footage ever. In the next time it could be somewhat quiet at Louis, as he sets out to explore South Africa for six months. But of course he does not disappear without saying goodbye to yet befitting. In January we will be running a full Tour Diary on www.revolution-daily.com where you can see who got what and how the goodness was shared across South Africa. They’ll be hitting up skateparks in each town and need your help to share the stoke and get a ton of kids skating. Revolution has setup drop-off depots at all the stores around the country and are taking in boards, trucks, wheels, shoes… whatever you’ve got to give.

With the help of Red Bull and KFD Skateboards, Justus Kotze, Moses Adams, Jamie O’Brien and Sam Clark decided to head out in search of new spots in undocumented towns with the purpose of getting footage for Justus’s Close Up article in AV13 and Mosey’s section in the upcoming Session dvd.

Searle Street Post is hosting an exhibition of artworks by studio-mates Paul Senyol, Justin Southey, and Verb artist Bruce Mackay, Vast, which opens this Thursday, 17 November 2011. Check out this super rad little promo video put together by the artists and the team at Searle Street Post – Charmaine Greyling, Udesh Chetty, Wim van der Merwe and Graeme Armstrong handled the 2D animation. 18 local artists were selected to design, illustrate or photograph work around the theme of Khayelitsha Culture. Curated by SJ Artists and local design website, 10and5, the work was turned into large scale wheat pastes and was pasted around Khayelitsha and the inner city of Cape Town.

The aim was to take the exhibition out of the gallery space and into the streets of both city and township. Spreading the art into the different cultures and allowing the greater community access. We think thats pretty freaking rad.
