BRUCE MACKAY MURAL AT REVOLUTION CAPE TOWN

Verb collaborating artist, Bruce Mackay, recently spent a few days at the Revolution store on 223 Long Street, Cape Town, painting this bad ass mural. Stop by the store to check it out and pick up a free Verb zine with any Verb item you buy.

I WANT YOUR MUNNY EXHIBITION

Toitoy are celebrating their new shop opposite the Lifestyle Centre at 49 Kloof Street in Gardens, Cape Town, with an exhibition of customised 7-inch Munny’s. Artists involved include Tyler B Murphy, Bruce Mackay, Kronk, Senyol, Chasril +, Bison, Simon Berndy, Jordan Metcalf, Theory One and tons more. Check it out from 6pm onwards.

SKATE FOR CHANGE: PUDDY MADE IT

Skate for Change has come to an end! Puddy has skated all the way from Johannesburg to Cape Town and he did a total of 1871km on his skateboard. This epic journey started on the 31st of July 2010 at the SOS Children’s Village in Ennerdale, Johannesburg and concluded on the 30th of October at the Village in Thortnon, Cape Town. The public can donate R10 by simply SMS’ing ‘Puddy’ to 38665. The official Skate for Change party is going down in Cape Town tonight with Van Coke Kartel, Taxi Violence and Hog Hoggidy Hog at Mercury Live where a portion of the entry will also be going to charity.

SKATE COMP AT SALESIANS CAPE TOWN

For the past 3 months, me (Wynand Herholdt) and MJ Johnson have been giving the guys (and girl) at Salesian Institute some skateboarding Lessons.

Salasian is an establishment wich caters for underprivelaged youth by offering them schooling, workshops etc. The skateboarding side of it all only started 3 months ago, and is funded by Skate Aid, a non profit organisation from Germany.
