Simon Stipcich Interview
October 22, 2010 4:37 pmWe caught up with Verb’s Simon Stipcich recently to see what’s been up…
How many years have you been skating now?
Around 8 and a half.
What gets you psyched most about skating?
Acting on imagination. Making practice of the theoretical.
What sort of spots are you skating mostly at the moment?
I seem to be finding bumps at the moment. Little angles here and there to boost off. One is always surprised with how much elevation can be achieved.
Which local skateboarder inspires you to up your game?
Gary McNaughton.
You done any skate trips this year or planning any?
Am planning a few. Road tripped with Yann to the Cape at the beginning of the year, fear and loathing in the Karoo.
What do you do when you’re not skating?
Reading, studying, tutoring.
Any videos or music you’re really into at the moment?
I’m in a sci-fi animation groove at the moment.
